I'm Shining a Light on Slavery to END IT
You may not be aware, but Atlanta is sadly one of the top cities in the U.S. for the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) and human trafficking. This is an issue that I am very passionate about, and I am taking active steps to help rid our city of this issue and to help the victims of this terrible industry.
As part of my efforts, I'm participating in the End It Movement 27x7 campaign. I'm rallying 27 friends to donate $7 each, so we can create a ripple effect of change in our city and throughout the world. I hope that you'll join with me in this fight.
There are 2 ways you can take action today:
- Join with me in the 27x7 campaign by donating $7 today.
- Join with me and other freedom fighters on February 27, Shine a Light on Slavery Day. Draw a RED X on your hand and post about it on social media using #ENDITMOVEMENT. Tell the world that slavery still exists, and we won’t stand for it. This is OUR TIME. This is OUR MOMENT. I believe slavery could end in our lifetime… together we can END IT!
I am a provisional member of the Junior League of Atlanta, and CSEC/HT is one of the community-based issues that we're addressing. To learn more about efforts to stop CSEC/HT in Georgia and around the world, check out these awesome organizations.
