Filling up my soul: 5 Favorites for Inspiration
As someone who works with content for a living, I can be a little too particular when it comes to what I read in my off time. But I have found some resources that are not only amazing editorial, but they are soul-satisfying when I read them. I've stumbled across these troves of wonderful insights and inspiration as I prance about the interwebs, so I wanted to share 5 of my favorites for filling up my soul.
She Reads Truth
Shereadstruth.com is such an amazing resource. It features a wide array of Bible studies that you can do on your phone or computer. The reason that I love SRT so much is because it's authentic content that relates to me where I am in 2015. It doesn't feel outdated or irrelevant. It's real, and I love it. I'm currently doing the Lent study, Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross. Like I said, you can do all of it on your phone, tablet or computer. But they make absolutely beautiful hard copies that you can buy too. I'm a big fan of a tactile reading experience, and the books and prints I have gotten so far as incredible. Highly recommend!
I've started reading Jess Connolly's blog, Naptime Diaries, in recent months. I just love the way she shares her honest heart and speaks about things in a way that makes an impact on me. She is one of the many women that I look up to in this space, and I love what she's doing at Naptime Diaries and in life! I've also purchased a few of their prints, and they're stunning. I definitely recommend checking out her blog for insights and inspiration to fill your soul.
I started reading IF: Equip last year, and it's another great devotional for women. I like their combination of scripture, devotional and video content. Plus, they end every edition with a prompt that if you believe this, then what does it mean about God, you and the world? Very powerful. You can also access IF: Equip on your phone or computer. IF: Equip is one part of the IF community. They also have IF: Gathering which is a physical gathering of women each year. Definitely check them out.
Propel just launched recently, and I am in love. It was started by the wonderful Christine Caine for, Helping women internalize a leadership identity & fulfill their purpose, passion & potential. I think that is quite incredible. As a Christian, a Millennial, and a woman who is passionate about a career that has a lasting impact in realms that matter, this is such a wonderful and much anticipated resource for me. I hope you'll explore it and find it as filling as I do.
So this one isn't a devotional or blog site. The Grove is a physical gathering that feeds the soul. It's hosted by Shelley Giglio at Passion City Church in Atlanta once a month. I've been trying to attend this the last few times, but I haven't been able to make it. I have my heart set on going in March though!! From what I have heard, it's a wonderful experience. The Grove was created because, We believe every woman (person!) is God designed, purpose intended, significant, and lavishly loved by the King of the universe. No matter your age, your status, your style, or whether you think you have it all together or not, you are welcome at THE GROVE. You are invited to come, rest, worship, learn and be as we celebrate the power and greatness of Jesus. I love that!! If you live in the ATL area, I hope that you can come fill your soul next month at The Grove too!
